In terms of exteriors, we have made tools for grills, troughs, roof railers, side guards and badges. The aerospace industry has some unique requirements for many of its plastic components, mainly because the polymers used in them are typically high temperature resistant fiberglass and carbon-filled engineered thermoplastics. Die and die/machined component suppliers in the industry must understand that traditional die design methods cannot meet the thermal expansion challenges commonly associated with these materials.
Moda mould has worked successfully with clients to develop housing for government aerospace radar sensing devices. During the project, Moda Mould built pre-production and production tools for the F15 fighter jet. The Midwest tooling team created value during development and then won production jobs by convincing customers to validate the manufacturability of the proprietary polymer. Costs are avoided for the customer by not starting abnormal production

For many electronic applications, Moda Mould acts as a tool source for low-volume production of moulders and energy storage enclosures, typically requiring less than 20,000 parts per year.

In the customer example shown here, Mould Mould provides plastic product development through tools and small-batch moulded parts. Specifically, we created a case around the camera, with a production run of 400 parts lasting 6-12 months to support the customer's product development cycle.
